HALLMARK

British hallmarking was introduced over 600 years ago and was probably the first example of consumer protection law.

This is a quality control mark placed on gold, silver and platinum and provides a safeguard to purchasers. The hallmark on an article shows that it has been tested (assayed) by an independent body (the Assay Office) and guarantees that the metal is of one the legal standards of fineness, or purity. You therefore know exactly what you are buying.

A hallmark also allows your jeweller to quickly identify what carat your jewellery is if you have to take it for repair or alterations. It is illegal for most articles of precious metal above a certain minimum weight to be described, or sold, as gold, silver or platinum, unless they carry an approved hallmark.

EARRINGS

For Health and Safety we do not replace or refund items which can be worn in piercings such as Earrings. This also applies to sets which include Earrings.

RING SIZE GUIDE

Dont know the ring size you require? Most Jeweller offer a free ring sizing service, they will be able to measure your ring size or use the guide below.

Odered a ring in the wrong size? Mail it back to us and we will replace it, please insure its not worn or damaged. Wrong ring sizes can also be adjusted by a jeweller, recommended two sizes smaller or larger.

METALS WE USE

YELLOW GOLD / WHITE GOLD

Because of the softness of pure (24k) gold, it is usually alloyed with base metals for use in jewelry. Its not only high quality gold that would make your jewelry a fine piece, but also the alloy that is a part of it.

White gold is an alloy of gold and at least one white metal, usually nickel or palladium. Behold Dorje Jewellery Ltd stocks Yellow Gold and White Gold jewellery of purity 14K and 18K.

ROSE GOLD

Rose gold is a gold and copper alloy widely used for specialized jewellery due to its reddish color. It is also known as pink gold and red gold.

925 STERLING SILVER

Fine silver (99.9% pure) is generally too soft for producing objects and Jewellery. Sterling Silver is an alloy of silver containing 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other metals, usually copper to give it strength. Behold Dorje Jewellery stocks Silver of purity no lower than 92.5% known as Sterling Silver.

DIAMONDS

The 4C's. of Diamond Selection:

Cutting: Round, Emerald, Heart, Marquise, Pear, Oval, or Princess cut.

Color: Grading from D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K color and so on. D color is the purest white color.

Clarity: IF (flawless), VVS1 (very very slight inclusions), VVS2, VS1 (very slight inclusions), VS2, SI1 (slight inclusions), SI2, I1 (inclusions), I2, and I3.

Carat: Some might say the larger, the better. We say it depends on what you like and the design you want. The carat size available starting from 0.05 ct.

Cubic Zirconia, often abbreviated to CZ, is a synthetic stone used as a diamond simulant for its affordability and visual similarities. Its beauty and attraction will make your jewelry looks luxury affordably.

MOTHER OF PEARL

Mother of Pearl also known as nacre is obtained from the pearls and the inside layer of the pearl oyster shell and other mollusks. Mother of Pearl is quite commonly used and is a desirable decoration for jewelry. The natural colors such as white, off-white, and black are well blended with the jewelry. It creates a colorful display on jewellry.
